What happens when I talk?

I have something to say, but I fear that no one would hear.

Late last night, I heard a gunshot. It was a faint one but I could hear it. I tried to follow as to where it resounds. I tried yet, I failed. I do not know if I am the only one who heard it, but I see no one around by that time. I could not blame them it was already late that night. I continued to trail my way home, and just try to forget about the gunshot.

However, as I passed a narrow alley down the corner of the road, behind the basketball court, I heard them laughing. Their laugh was so strange that it no longer sound like dignified men but instead it was so vicious and a menace; so cruel that my racing heart went wilder that it almost made my world stop.

But I cannot stop myself from peeking. I wish I never did. I wish that I should just ran home instead. But no! my feet were pinned to the ground and my blood started gashing from my lips that I had hardly bitten to stop the noise that wanted to escape from it.

There was a boy lying face down onto the ground. Blood was everywhere. No! It was not just a boy, because there were more of them. There were more bodies lying in a pile. Some were stabbed, some were jabbed. But above those differences were one significant similarity. They were all huddled in red.

They were not in red clothes but with bloody red holes, some were fresh with their cuts and some were bruised even hand tied together. Sprawling on the ground, aloof yet not floating in their mixed up blood.

Suddenly, there it was a commotion. Something flashed, and there was a sound of footsteps rushing away from me. But there was also a sound of heavy leather shoes coming in before me. I still cannot find my own will to move.

Then, there he was. Standing before me was a man in his decent uniform, with a badge shining over his chest. He was there smiling, grinning at me while pointing his gun.

“Will you talk?” his voice was too commanding and extremely over intimidating. “Answer me!” he said to me at gunpoint.

I know my tears were on the verge of falling but I stopped it, though my voice were too scared knowing the power he has in his hands. “N-No s-s-sir!”

Chuckles before he asked the question why, “S-s-sir, b-because anything I say can be used against me by the l- law.”

“Run!” He shouted. His eyes were wide and it screamed malice. His grin did a sucker punch on my guts. I want to throw up. I might piss my self from this hell I dawned on me; or I might already did. "RUNNNNN!"

Upon hearing his words, his echoing sickening laugh, I did not bother thinking for a reason to stay. I hastily got on my feet and started running for my life. To whom do I have to tell this? Do I have to speak of it? But he has the power, what will happen if I do – should I keep quiet instead; because everything that I say, will only be used against me.

Another gunshot was heard!

I'm far enough maybe. I slowed down on my tracks. No! even though I speak up, maybe no one will believe me.

I lost my balance and I am getting tired. Wait! I need air. My head might be spinning, racing or whatever. My knees kissed the ground. In no time, I was helpless. My chest was heavier than it seems, and… damp. I looked down, and everything inside me was messed up. Is it my blood? It... probably is.

But, I have to speak... and ask for... help. wait... I am... tired. Maybe... even if I cried... no one will help me out.

Tired, wasted and broke… I let the tears I've been hanging before --
